Leaving London in the evening, you will arrive for lunch the next day at one of the
m
ost intimate camps in Botswana,
ZIBALIANJA, situated in the private Linyanti
Reserve, a concession area to the north of the Okavango Delta.

Set under the trees for shade, the four guest tents, each with original open air bathrooms, are raised on wooden platforms.  The camp overlooks a grazing plain which is a regular route for game in search of the permanent water of the Zibalianja lagoon.

Traditional vehicle safaris, night drives and walks are all available here and, because of the short grass plains, chances of spotting cheetah, wild dog and lion are high.  There is also an impressive elephant population.

Next you will venture deep into the Okavango Delta, to one of our favourite camps in the area.  With private bungalows constructed from local letheka reeds and open fronted giving wonderful views, DELTA CAMP is a very special place.  One of the rooms is a genuine tree house, with not only the bedroom being up amongst the branches but also the bathroom, complete with running water!

The nearby islands are reached by mokoro, gliding through the tranquil waterways, skillfully poled by a local Batswanan.  These guides then lead walking safaris, exploring the islands and tracking game.

To gently wean you off the bush before the sophisticated elegance that awaits you in Mauritius, spend a night in the heart of Sandton in Johannesburg at TEN BOMPAS.  Each private suite is individually decorated and is complete with its own steam room bathroom.

Perfect for a romantic Indian Ocean respite, you will enjoy the friendly and relaxed atmosphere at PARADISE COVE HOTEL, an excellent property at the northern end of the island overlooking a lagoon and the Indian Ocean.

It is the smallest five star hotel on the island and the only one with a private beach.   It also has an excellent selection of water sports, including a dive centre.

Try to make time for a catamaran cruise and snorkelling at Gabriel Isle before you have to pack your bags and fly home.

From Zibalianja, it is possible to take walking safaris with nights spent in fly camps.  For a perfect honeymoon, why not add a few days at Victoria Falls at the start of this itinerary, not just for the chance to marvel at the splendour of the Falls themselves but also to relax in a romantic setting at a luxurious lodge on the banks of the Zambezi river.
