The secret is in the ingredients and that is where our strength
lies. We are constantly travelling, discovering new and exciting
destinations to share with you, searching for outstanding
commitment to service and seeking out colourful characters
who transform a holiday into an adventure. As well as advising
those of you hoping to see as much game as possible, we also
understand that a differently balanced holiday sometimes suits
people better, perhaps travelling along South Africa’s
Garden Route or around the Battlefields and Winelands, enjoying
other inspirational activities or relaxing on one of the Indian
Ocean islands.
We strive to really understand what you require from your
safari by exploring what you want to see, what interests you,
which animals really fascinate you, how close you would like
to get to them, whether you are looking for luxury or if you
could get just as excited by a couple of nights beneath the
stars tucked up in a tree-house. You will not be on "our"
safari - you will be on the one we design with you - our experience
and expertise will ensure that it is the most memorable it
can be, whether a honeymoon and your first trip to Africa,
or an Anniversary holiday to retrace steps taken years before.
Our holidays are particularly special as they will have
been created just for you. The itineraries shown here are
only suggestions to whet your appetite. While for your convenience
and peace of mind we prefer to organise the whole trip including
flights from the UK, we can also just look after your arrangements
within Africa. Our safaris are famously good and can be combined
with spectacular beach holidays - remember, we live and breathe
Africa and have discovered some special places just for you.
But the proof of the pudding is in the eating, borne out
by the accolade ‘Travel Company of the Year’ which
is based on customer satisfaction. Okavango Tours & Safaris
was the proud recipient in the smaller company category in
January 2006, the award’s inaugural year, and again
in January 2008.
