:: Where we go - South Africa

For the holiday maker or the adventurer, South Africa is one of the most exciting, diverse and welcoming countries in the world. The transition from the troubled times of the apartheid era has been one in which courtesy and consideration have become the benchmarks in the rapidly growing tourism industry.

Weather

Climatically, a country of two zones: winter rains and summer rains. From the Garden route westwards, the rains fall in winter, and the prettiest time for flowers along the coast and in Namaqualand is September to December. In the north east, in the Transvaal lowveld and Zululand, the game reserves are full of animals and their young from March to June after the summer rains.

Winters in the west are cold, in the east they are mild and dry. Summers are hot everywhere, dry in the west and on the highveld, progressively more humid through the eastern Cape, lowland Natal and the Transvaal lowveld
