Your adventure begins immediately when your guide meets you at the airport and then drives you through Uganda’s rolling green hills to the charming Lake Mburu National Park, an extension of the Tanzania plains with herds of zebra, impala, eland and other ungulates.  A first night under canvas awaits you at MANTANA'S LUXURY TENTED CAMP before you head to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, best known as the home of the mountain gorilla.

The base for the gorilla trek will be the luxurious GORILLA FOREST CAMP where your spacious tented room has  a large bathroom and a verandah with views of the forest.

The trek to find the gorillas normally takes about two hours and does require a degree of fitness due to fairly steep, muddy paths.  Afterwards, you will be rewarded with a candlelit bath, either in your own room or outside, amazingly hidden away in the forest, to the sounds of nocturnal birds and the monkeys who pass high up in the trees.

Drive north to Queen Elizabeth Park where you will spend the next two nights at MWEYA SAFARI LODGE, with spectacular views over the famous Kazinga Channel with its large hippo population.

Nearby Lake Albert also offers very exciting fishing for both expert and novice anglers.

You then take a scenic drive to Kampala leaving enough time to visit the Theatre Craft Market to buy souvenirs and local crafts.  Overnight at the new boutique EMIN PASHA HOTEL before travelling home the next day.

An itinerary could also include Murchison Falls National Park, the largest game park in the country, which boasts forest, swamp and open grasslands as well as the narrow cleft through which the Victoria Nile forces its course and spectacularly cascades down.  In the remote north of the country, Kidepo National Park is an area of outstanding panoramic scenery with a good variety of game and over 200 species of birds.
