After
your journey to ETOSHA, enjoy a late lunch
at Mushara Outposts before heading out into
the Park. You will have plenty of time for guided game viewing
as well as relaxing around this beautiful lodge and in your
spacious room which has enormous windows and a private verandah
giving out into the surrounding bush.
Etosha is dominated by a massive mineral pan which fills
only if the rains are heavy. This temporary water attracts
thousands of wading birds including impressive flocks of flamingos.
However, the permanent waterholes also draw large concentrations
of wildlife and birds year round making this a prime game
viewing area. Expect to see several species of antelope, elephant,
giraffe, rhino and lions and, if you are lucky, leopard and
cheetah.
As
you fly south to Sossusvlei, stop for a delicious fresh seafood
lunch in Swakopmund on the way.
Situated just outside the NAMIB NAUKLUFT PARK, Sossusvlei
Wilderness Camp is perched on an escarpment with
outstanding views over the desert and towards the mountains.
Each of the nine superbly appointed chalets has a plunge pool
to cool off in during the heat of the day. The main area of
camp is thatched with an outdoor deck where guests enjoy sundowners
or dinner under the stars and there is a powerful telescope
on a stargazing platform to view the clear African night skies.
The
lodge offers easy access to the dunes around Sossusvlei and
Deadvlei so you will head into the amazing landscapes to get
the best dawn light for photography. If you are energetic
you can climb one of these towering, shifting mountains of
sand and admire the views before a well-earned picnic brunch.
You can also take nature drives and walks, with night drives
producing sightings of nocturnal species such as aardwolf,
Cape fox, black-backed jackal and bat-eared fox.
From
desert life to city life in CAPE TOWN where
Ezard House is well positioned in Camps Bay
to be within easy distance of the centre but at the same time
away from the hustle and bustle.
Ten well appointed, modern suites all have balconies facing
either the tranquility of the landscaped gardens and koi ponds
or over the bay and out to sea. Don Ezard is on hand to ensure
that you’ll make the most of your stay, be it exploring
the attractions on the V&A Waterfront, taking a day trip
into the Winelands, driving round the Cape peninsula or playing
golf. Return to Ezard House to relax in the private pool or
rooftop jacuzzi before enjoying a fine evening meal and perhaps
taking in a show at a theatre.
